I am a professional Ironer and I am expected to do 13 items per minute. If I take a break I do not get that amount done so I tend not to take them. I work from 5-7 hrs a shift and wanted to know what I am entitled to legally. Thanks Jules

13 items a minute? Do you have a machine?
or are you a mchine? That's incredible!

Basically you're entitled to a 20 minute break in that shift, but that's a bloody heavy workload and I'd expect more.
A worker is entitled to an uninterrupted break of 20 minutes when daily working time is more than six hours. It should be a break in working time and should not be taken either at the start, or at the end, of a working day.

SORRY everyone! I just read through what I have written!
No its 13 items per hour and its an ordinary iron.
My normal shift is 5 hrs but we are expected to do that many even with a break.
Police Officers work 9 hour shifts in my area and are only allowed a break if they have nothing better to do!!!!!
Clearly you're not entitled to a break.

Nobody seemed to mention that the break is unpaid.
