i have 7 years of experience working as a care assistant and im nvq level 2 qualified in health and social care. im employed at the min for an agency but am i allowed to advertise privately as carer/home help available and work for myself (ie in the local paper).
any replies advice or a push in the right direction would be great xx

Speak to Social Services in the first instance - you may have to be registered / licensed.

But it's not illegal to work for yourself whilst being employed elsewhere - but check your contract of employment to see if you have agreed to any restrictions.
i work as a carer for the local social servises and people that i go into do pay for privet care at weekends ask about working for direct payments with social services they will point you in the right direction good look
I think you need to be registered with social services and vetted by police first
