Redundancy rules!

Hi. A team of 7 workers (inc. me) was called into the manager's office on Friday to say they need to make 2 of the 7 staff redundant. We all have to attend a series of meetings next week and will have the results week Monday. Does anyone know what entitlements I have and do they have to pay a certain amount? I have only been in the job 1 year :(

Statutory redundancy only kicks after two years so if they follow that, then you get nothing.

They may however have their own policy on the matter which means they might pay something.

Ask your HR department about it, if you have one.
