Unfair interview
0 Answers
I went to a job interview recently. This was meant to be a standardised (regionally agreed) interview for all candidates.
2 of the interviewers did not attend on the day and the format of the interview had to change at the last minute (from 3 interview stations to 2 stations).
They also ran 5 hours late (from the time I was meant to be interviewed) and we were left without any information whilst we waited.
This was a large recruitment exercise and for whatever reason the 3rd day of interviews was cancelled.
Subsequent interviews then took place a month later with a greater number of candidates and they reverted back to the originally intended format (3 stations) with different questions.
I had been advised that they would NOT do this, but keep things the same as the first batch of interviews.
Apart from making us wait for 5 hours, is there any legal basis for complaint in this seemingly unfair selection process? Particularly as the intention was for ALL interviews to follow a standard format?
