I toke my former employer to a emplyment tribunal as she nfairley sacked me . I won she never bothered to turn up and was awarded �7,000 compensation. how ever she shut the company the next day and has not paid or intends to pay me. i have registed the claim with the county court but they cant do anything as it is greater then �5,000 and she was a ltd company.what can i do as she is laughing at me as she is not paying and says i cant do a thing about it ! this cant be fair whats the point of the tribunal if they cant make her pay?

Has she put the company into receivership or administration? If not then you should still be able to pursue it. Unfortunately this happens quite frequently. Tribunals have now power to demand payment of any award, they just specify the amount. Try CAB for advice.
