You should show that you do not just want a job at any cost, but that it is important to you what that company is like, what their future plans are, how do they think they will develop over the next few months or years. You should of course have found out as much as possible about the prospective employer.
What you do NOT do is ask anything that just affects you - holiday allowances, bonuses etc.
If you want the job, write a letter as soon as you get home, to the interviewer BY NAME, thanking them for their courtesy and just say you are looking forward to hearing from them. If you are the only one who does that, it could just edge a close decision - politeness and courtesy cost nothing.
