that's awful, was it a direct result then? We have had to send our wages by DHL, it did affect me sending a letter to my aunt in the hospice, I sent it yesterday by guaranteed next day delivery, they charged me �4.50 and said it might get there Friday!" she will hopefully still be there to read it, i felt abit annoyed at myself for not getting to see her this week and so took time to write a long letter and then cheerfully went to post it thinking hoiw much she would appreciate it.
That's not trivialising your prob,. petal, noone can dismiss you for as daft a reason as the postal strike

Yes, my workplace is an animal sanctuary, so totally relies on donation, gift orders etc by mail. Plus we have a christmas newsletter due to go out. So no mail, no money.

Myself and my staff will be phoning people up with their appointments as well as sending letter for the next three weeks I imagine.

However I still support their right to do it.

thats terrible petal. go get yourself a job as a postie, then you can work half the hours of an average worker and claim overtime on top of you normal wage too for work you never bothered doing.

Do you have the name of the sanctuary and I can donate some money electronically? Are you still going in as a volunteer? The donation won't be to get your job back I'm afraid, but to help the animals.

flipnflap.. yes it was totally down to the postal strike, as we had no deliveries. The place totally runs on getting the post. Other members of staff had been asked to work a 4 day week. With the exceptions of three people. It had nothing to do with my work performance btw. All yard staffs bonus's had also been cut (they pay minimal wage there)

well i recon u should beat up a post man give him a slap. im gna poor a bucket of water out my window this week at mine cause i still aint had a cheque for lots of money 2 pay a bond for a new house.
