hi ive been working as a self employed painter since april but i have finished doing the job now.what do i have to about claiming my expenses and things like that?
you need to fill in a self assessment after next april and use all your reciepts for your materials and tools as allowable deductions from your income. go and look at the website for the inland revenue, you should have already registered with them as self employed.
have u been paying your class4 contributions too?
