Hi all... I'm sure you may have seen previous questions like this and hope this is not to tedious to read or answer but:
I've finished a degree in IT (2006) and have beem working in IT roles for the past 18 months but I have no longer the passion I thought I would have for it when starting my degree. I have always had an interest in news, current affairs, cultures and different countries. Appart from journalism roles, what kind of other roles can anyone think of related to the mentioned above and how would one get into any of them.
Thanks for any help

I'd suggest that you arm yourself with the 2008 edition of the Writers & Artists Year Book (your library will have a copy if you don't want to shell out 14.99). This book will tell you everything you need to know. Try knocking out a few letters to newspapers/short stories to magazines etc and see how you get on. You could also join your local writers circle (details from your local library.)
Good luck.
