Record �13m payout for bullied lawyer

A city lawyer was driven out of her �140,000 a year job after suffering 18 months sexual discrimination and harassment. The employment tribunal said she must be paid damages after she was undermined, undervalued, and bullied by her employer. She was subjected to scrutiny over the amount of hours she worked; often she would work at home to be there for her two disabled children. She eventually developed depression and was declared as suffering from an 'adjustment disorder' which means she cannot take part in normal social interaction, this was all down to the stress she suffered at work. What do you think? Should those who put this woman through this ordeal be punished more, rather than the company shelling out money? Or is this the world of work, and some people are undervalued and harassed but have no means or money to pursue it legally, and come out with much smaller payouts?
