Has anyone any advice on becoming an assessor for Home Information Packs work? Where to, or not to, train, costs and is there any help with course fees, getting qualified and getting work when qualified? Anything at all that would be helpful appreciated thanks.

i was thinking of doing this when they first came on the news couple of years back. there are a few places in the country, i think it was London, Preston, and Bristol, i wanted to do it by correspondance but still needed to attend a number of times for the full weekend. i think it was going to cost about 15k / 18k, at the time the govt changed the rules and said they were not coming in, so i backed off.
when i was loooking i think i started by looking at the Home Office website and went into training for HIPs
Someone I know is doing it and I am sure they said it costs 6000 to train.
