Didn't get the job

I was going to post the result of my interview on AB since I asked for some advice.
I had a 1/2 hour telephone interview, 50 minute aptitude test+interview and was waiting to hear about the 3rd stage IT test. I got a letter saying basically thanks but no thanks.
I'm very upset & have only just stopped crying.

Aww jack, I am sorry to hear that :( How frustrating and disappointing for you.

Was it a job you really wanted? Were you given any feedback? Can you re-apply?

When I first read your post, I thought you had TWELVE hour phone interview, because AB doesn't show punctuation in the post summaries lol! But the process you went through was just as gruelling!
Do you have your eye on anything else? I am currently jobseeking too, so...I wish you lots of luck!

I thought I was in with a good chance. It was in a jewellery shop on the Admin side but also learning about it too. I was hoping for it. There's only one position and lots of applicants, so I can't re-apply. 12 hours??? I had enough of it so far, let alone how long the 3rd stage would've been!

Awww sorry to hear that JD.

I went for promotion a few years ago and it was in 3 stages. I got through the first 2 which took around an hour each and then failed the 3rd one which took 1 and a half hours.

Its awful when they drag these things out and then watch you fall at the last hurdle. Its so demoralising.

Have you got any more jobs lined up?

Oh jack, well you know what? They just didn't deserve you hun! It is absolutely their loss. Not much consolation now, I know, but when you get the job of your dreams, you can stick your tongue out at the jewellery shop. And boycott their products! ;)
