I no someone who cleans at the local police station,She,s been given a police badge and police padded jacket,And when she goes into a shop wearing them assistants move her to the front of the queue have given her free stuff,And even once when she was stuck in traffic she flashed her badge and the traffic moved for her,I dont no if powers gone to her head or im a little jelous(I hate being stuck in traffic too)Or if she just loves the respect she gets of people while wearing the coat an badge. What do you think?
I think its abusing her position. I know people like to get away with things and I'm all for it but when it comes to using Police stuff for this use, it's a bit wrong.
I'm sure if the Police found out they would not be happy.
I'm suprised she even got this stuff if she's only the cleaner for the station. They're not meant to just give out Police stuff willynilly. Everyone would try it otherwise.
That is so wrong. I'd say both, its gone to her head and she loves the respect. Why would they give her a police badge???? This is an offence as eyebrows has rightly said but surely police should know better than to give her a badge and jacket.
Sorry but is this just a wind up? I doubt very much she would be given such items. If this is true and she does possess them, I would say its more likely she has stolen them.
Also, I have never heard of a police officer in uniform being moved to the front of queues or getting freebies.
I was amazed when she showed me her badge and saw the padded jacket that says police on it,But also her attitudes totally changed she even told me she knew id got 3 points on my licsence,Eh! but her partner is best friends with my other half and i no there really struggling for money at the mo so i really couldnt shop her,Im just amazed that the police would give her these things in the first place.
I did some work for the police once (programming, very hush hush, can't go into details) and I got a badge, a bullet-proof jacket, a truncheon, free vouchers for the canteen, and an AK-47. I used to pull up alongside chavs at the Purley Way traffic lights and wave the AK at them, they didn't half look scared !
Yes, the perks are amazing, even for employees on the periphery.
Appart from the possible "impersonating a cop" offence, she has also commited a Data Protection breach which is enforcable on both her and the police by the information commissioner.
It is an offence to look up data to which you are not entitled and which you have no right to.
Officers and staff are only to wear uniform approved for a specialist duty whilst they are engaged on that duty.
Even were this true, if she is out and about and not doing her duty (cleaning inside the station) and wearing the dress of uniformed staff outside the station, she wouldn't be employed for much longer.
To be abit fair when she got moved to the front of a very long queue it was the staff that assumed she was an officer she just didnt correct them,Her cleaning out fit actually looks like a nurses uniform but when she puts her jacket on she looks like a policewomen.
