Problems with uni anyone help?

My son's uni have offered him the 2nd year of a BA course to follow on from an HND. This despite saying in the prospectus that it would follow on to a 3rd year (now doing 4 years instead of 3). Anyone out there experienced this problem? Is there any ombudsman or complaints department for universities. Appreciate any help . Ta

I did a HNC part time for 2 years and then went onto the 3rd year of a degree so did 4 years part time in total for them both.

I would imagine that inside the prospectus there will be a disclaimer absolving them for any type of responsibilty. I know that the College/university I went to would offer course in the prospectus and then scrap them if not enough people enroled.
