Visitation allowance
Hi
I have a question regarding my neighbour. She lives with her son from a failed marriage and a daughter from a current relationship.
I know that she claims single parents allowance for her daughter. Her partner who lives in a house in a nearby village with his son also from a failed marriage and also claiming single parents allowance.
My question is are they both entitled to single parents allowance as he visits for at least 4 hours every night, and stops from Friday night till Sunday night and every bank hoilday/public holiday.

And to the others.I know they are both claimimg benefits as she often boast about the fact on how much they are getting between them. They have both also bought new cars this year(OK used ones), had two holiday abroard so far since December , new boiler fitted (when I looked at this early this year was quoted anything from 1000- 2000), planning permission applied for an extension.
Yes I live in the UK but as I have never claimed any benefit apart from child allowance I am out of touch with what use to be called single parent benefit it is probably know by some other politically correct name now.
Don't get me wrong if some one is in need of help then fair enough but when some one is blatently flouting the system and is stopping someone else who is more deserving then I think they should be shopped.
