I would like to apply for an admin job with the police. Problem is, i got a caution 3 and a half years ago for.....stealing at the workplace (doesn't sound so good huh). I think the caution was kept on record for 2 or 3 years. I deeply regret it and it was very stupid of me. I stole some clothes from a shop i used to work in with 2 other girls. Do i still have to let them know about this on my application? Do you think i stand a chance of even getting an interview? Thanks

Think about this for a minute.

Do you think the police will carry out their own CRB check???

Without sounding patronising, are you really up for a job in a relatively brain testing job?
for the police they do an 'enhanced' check, so regardless of the time they will probably find out. But, dont think it is something that they will refuse you for. will grill you at the interview if you make it there tho
Enhanced disclosure = Everything you have ever done.

McDonalds in now recruiting - Free Uniform - Free Food.
