5 minute intro presentation
3 Answers
I have got to do a 5 minute presentation in a upcoming interview, the theme of the presentation is in the scenerio that I am in a team meeting in a bank on my first day of work.
I will need to introduce myself and gain the confidence of the other members of staff.
I will also need to incorporate how I plan to contribute to the overall success of the branch and what it is i expect from other members of staff to allow me to do this.
The role I am applying for is a role that leads are supplied from counter staff and therefore need to be able to create an instant relationship with them.
Any suggestions or examples?
Thanks everyone

I take it that "them" are your co-workers or are they the clients ?...

Dress smart and act confident - No bright colours or fancy clothes, you want the people looking at you not the flowers on your tie, skirt or whatever.
Good handshake - Maintain eye contact
Use a Whiteboard if possible rather than reading off notes.
Plan - 5 Minutes is a longtime, so try and break up the presentation into perhaps 3 x 1.5 minute slots- yes I know thats only 4.5 minutes.
But if you assign 3 products each 1.5 minutes then the 30sec intro will fit in well.
Investigate fully the products and services your future employer actually sells, if it's loans, or morgages, insurance,or business services, have a look at there current information on these products, and actually see how these are being sold at present.
Plan your presentation around your interpretation of the way you would increase the sales of these products to the market.
For instance :
So if the company sells morgages then say that with the introduction of the companies new base tracker 3 yr fixed rate mortgage, the benefits to the customer would be this etc...
Same for loans - The company offers loans at 0.5% under current base rate over 3yrs etc, the benefits to the customer would be this etc..
End on the note that you would like to increase the branches overall success, by fully investigating the products and services, looking at the unique way these are currently being sold and then emphasizing these to the customer.
GOOD LUCK
