how do you become an optician? what course do you have to do.. can anyone send a link plz. i am interested in thie field..... any information will help...

The person who actually tests your eyes is an 'opthalmic optician', although they'd probably prefer to be called an 'optometrist'. To qualify as an optometrist you'll need good A-level results in at least 3 subjects which should be science/maths based . Then it's a 3-year university course followed by practical training:

The people who make up prescriptions, by putting the glasses together, are 'dispensing opticians'. They don't examine eyes but they still need to undertake a lengthy period of study. (One possible route involves a 2 year diploma course, followed by practical training. There are several other routes available):
