Redundancy

Heard today we are facing the possibility of redundancy anyone else in the same situation?

Loads of people involved in residential conveyancing as the market is so quiet.

I imagine in residential mortgages, estate agencies etc...

As people are not moving then it also impacts on those who make money through people moving home too.

faced redundancy 8 years ago...escaped..not nice tho......I watched people next to me made redundant

They're cutting our department by 1/3

I was made redundant about 5 years ago from a Company I had worked for since leaving school. I was scared witless but it turned out to be the best thing ever. I git a redundancy payment which enabled me to put a deposit down and buy my first house and I got a better job.

3 years later I got made redundant again, I wasn't as scared this time and now have an even better job.

Don't worry, it will come right in the end!
