Someone once told me they had a template of a letter you could send to the inland revenue office if you thought that you had paid too much tax in a cycle asking them to review your contribution as you felt you needed to be reimbursed.

i can't seem to find an example of this letter anywhere or details of where to send it to.

your help would be much appreciated.
thanks

Don't know about a letter, or what you mean by a "cycle" but if you want to claim a repayment you might well want a form P50. see this link http://search2.hmrc.gov.uk/kbroker/hmrc/forms/ viewform.jsp?formId=764

Of course, the easiest way to get the ball rolling is probably to phone. Look in the phonebook for HMRC
Of course, once youve asked HMRC to look in to your affairs they might well find that you owe them more money. Just a thought.
