Vehicles imported to the UK in bulk are delivered by car transporters. (So, unless you've got an HGV1 licence, with experience on car transporters, you won't find a job there).
'One off' vehicle imports usually need to be delivered to a VOSA test centre (for an SVA test), rather than directly to a dealership. When I worked as a 'trade plater'. I'd sometimes collect such vehicles from Felixstowe docks and take them to the VOSA test centre in Norwich. The firm I worked for, as a contract driver, is based in the West Midlands:

You can search many local car transport companies on internet but be aware while choosing a local transport company.
