Is an nvq2 in health and social care the the same as gcse or similar exam ,ie 6 units equals 6 gcse or is it only 1

An NVQ Level 2 is equivalent to 5 GCSEs at grades A-C.

Gutted applied to north east ambulance service and only have 3 cs and nvq2 so got told that only counted as 4 and needed 5 cs or above to join so many thanks 4 your reply
