ok I'm planning on moving out soon and I new afew anwsers about tax -

say I got a grand a month I lived mn my own and didn't claim anything how much would [after tax] would I be really getting a month, a friend suggested I would get 800 after tax. Is this true?

My figureof �840 (seeabove link) does allow for NI deductions. The figures assume a standard tax code, no student loan repayments and no pension contributions.
