Grrrr boss
4 Answers
Please can someone help me with this one. I drive a van on a sandwich round for a living. Today the van started playing up, the clutch is going, i called my boss who told me just limp round and he would sort it out when i got back. He is now saying that he cant get it fixed until tomorrow evening, and so i have to take it out tommorrow.
When i told him i wasnt happy to drive it, (i work about 1/2 hour away from the depot, & have to go on the motorway) he said to either do as he says, or not to bother turning in, and face the consequences. this cant be legal can it?

Arm yourself with warm clothing and survival gear and go out on your round tomorrow. If it breaks down, phone him and tell him so, and ask him to get you towed back. If he refuses, then lock it up and get yourself home via taxi - making sure he gets the bill, of course. If you're on the motorway when it breaks down, call the police and tell them you're stranded. You won't be in trouble with them. Your boss, however ...
