i work as a telehandler driver and i want to appeal against been made redundant they used a scoring matrix to do this the first time they used this scoring matrix was 3 month ago which i scored 41 out of 45 which meant i kept my job another 2 people who worked as the same trade as me scored 39. we all kept our jobs 3 month later we had another 30 days cosultation this time i scored lower than the other 2 people and lost my job the 2 people kept there jobs how can this be right should i appeal

Sorry but I think you are going to be on thin grounds - a company that has used an assessment matrix probably knows enough to know what it is doing when it comes to keeping within the law.
You can try appealing but the company may not permit it. You fallback would be to try and take the company to Employment Tribunal for unfair dismissal if the redundancy happens. Seek specific advice at the CAB first if you consider going dwon that route.

in furtherance of the great answer by BM, an example o what might have happened could be that the role of a telehandler driver was essential to the business 3 months ago, but with the ddownturn, or different work being taken on, it might not be so crucial now or in the future business plans, hence scoring lower
