I am an NQT and have been employed by an Infant school. My contract is full time and permanent and started on 01.09.08. I found out the school have to make one teacher redundant. Will I be included in the process or not because I am an NQT?

Sadly, you will be included...I am a Nursery Nurse and have worked for the Education Authority for over 5 yrs on a permanent contract...I am now at risk and thats even with people with less years in the job not being at risk!! I am to be re-deployed or made redundant! Good luck to you. xx
It depends on the selection criteria. You may be targeted because you don't have sufficient service to claim a redundancy payment or they may want to keep you as you are cheap at present.
