Heritage carpentry and joinery

Does anyone know if qualificatioins/certificates are required to carry out joinery work on heritage/listed buildings - if so what, and where can training be obtained? Many thanks.

Hi i am a carpenter/joiner and do restoration on graded buildings/barns period propertys and no you dont NEED qualitications although you do need to be compitent and know exactly what you are doing, it is possible to get into serious trouble if unsure get advice because the conservation officers know what they should be looking at (some can be very difficult).
