not worked for four year

I havent worked for four year since my company went bust
i have been looking after disabled father for this time and have never claimed any money of the goverment ie carers allowance job seekers etc.

However my dad passed away 6 weeks ago can i and am i entitled to claim any benifits to support my self as i can now look for work as i do not have to look after my late dad
