transferring accounting qualification from a foreign country

My girlfriend has an accounting degree from her home country but she doesnt reckon it is valid in the UK. Is there a course that enables her to "transfer" into a UK qualification, from her current one? I think there is a 12 month course for this but I dont know its name.

Has your girlfriend tried to get her overseas degree officially recognised with a UK equivalent qualification? If UK NARIC issues an official 'letter of comparability' her existing qualification might be all that she needs. (If not, the letter will state what her qualification is equivalent to, so that she'll know the entry point for any course that she needs to do).

UK NARIC charges �40 for their services (which are carried out on behalf of the UK Government) but that's a small amount if it removes (or limits) the need for further courses:
