filling out application form and i have to state how my skills, knowledge and experience matches the above requirement in the person specification. im at a bit of a loss, cos ive never been in a position where ive had to consider equal opportunity policies. any ideas how i can proceed with this bit of the application. i fit the rest of the person spec very well.

You need to read and absorb their EOP and then try and relate it your career history and or past experiences. Perhaps mention diversity and equality, and any cultural or social issues you might have faced and dealt with.

Basically everyone is equal and treated equally regardles of age, sex, sexuay orientation, disability, creed, colour, ethnic background etc...

You just have to assert your awareness of EO and how you would comply with it, it really is quite difficult to help any further.
