Obviously this time 'The first Black....' was not the correct person for the job.
Judging by her experience, his replacement Dr Nicola Brewer should have been the correct person for the job, in the first place.
But why the secrecy why she resigned from her previously job as Equality and Human Rights Commission's (EHRC) first chief executive, last month?
The EHRC press release did not explain the reason for her departure. It quotes Trevor Phillips, the EHRC chair, as saying "Nicola is going to an extraordinary opportunity that few of us could resist.

Well because you cannot alter the fact that he was Labour's first BLACK High Commissioner to South Africa, why they have to emphasize the fact that he is Black I do not know, but it seems it is a done thing these days.
Why did the Daily Mail bring that up?
Would you rather the Daily Mail not report such a news story?
Perhaps if it had been a White High Commissioner's wife who had bullied her Black servants, you especially would be rushing to post your comments, perhaps trying to link it in some way to a return of slavery.
It is that very large chip you carry on your shoulder sp1814. You just do not like it when a Black person gets shown up in an unfavourable way.
