You don't say what sort of level you're at, but the Open University course is a good one. Whilst it's marketed as an introductory course and goes through all the technical and artistic basics, I've 'met' some pretty experienced photographers on it who said they've nevertheless found it useful.
For the duration of the course, you have access to a small website a bit like Flickr, where you can post your coursework photos for comment and critique.
It does what it says on the tin - teaches you to create and share better digital images. Rumour has it that the OU are revamping it to something even better, and there's a bit of a student push for further courses.
Anyways, see what you think.

I should also add the OU course is "recognised by The Royal Photographic Society (RPS) as suitable preparatory work and a foundation for a Licentiateship Distinction (LRPS) in still photography". Basically, that means it gets you to a level where you can seriously start thinking about submitting a portfolio to the RPS for this qualification.
