College Essay...!

OK I am going to try this, I hope I can get all the help I can. I am trying to do an essay paper that is about 2000 words on Gawain and the green Knight. We need to have outside citations as well though....about 4-6 of them..and a good argument for our thesis...I can't think of anything, and anything that i do think of seems to not be on the net as sources I could use. I need an idea of a good solid argument for the paper as well as 4-6 good sources where I can grab all of this knowledge to back up my thesis. I am looking for mostly article sources here. If anyone can help me out that would be greatly appreciated. ASAP...:) thank you kindly

Not sure how much help I can be...but I seem to remember that Sir Gawain etc. Is mentioned in Fraser's Golden Bough as an example of the continuation of Jack-in-the-Green type anima. The green knight is an example of a tree spirit. Or so he thinks. Im always shocked by the girdle sequence, though. Gawain borrows a magic girdle from the green knights lady (sister?) and then "wraps it around himself three times" How big was this woman? Sources to look up may include Tolkein, who did an analysis of it.
