Being demoted and pay cut ?

Hi i work in a fast food restuarant and i am a team leader recently been promoted and i have had my first pay rise with my performance review ,i was wondering if i was demoted would they cut my pay ?thanks

Yes you can have your pay cut on demotion or go on 'marked time' which means you stay on that pay until the grade you are demoted to's pay scale catches up....check your contract.

You can have your pay cut without being demoted - it's about to happen to me. They just call it restructuring or in my case 'single status'.

If you have been there les sthan a year they could also sack you based on performance an there'd be nothing you can do..

Of course they would cut your pay.
If the manager of the place started flipping burgers, they wouldn't keep him on how ever many thousands a year.
