Basically after exams this summer me and some friends are going to Ibiza- but because we are all going to be 16, my mum is taking us and staying nearby. Thing is, i have invited about 8 of my friends though i think a few wont be allowed to go, but I have this one friend who my mum despises and will not allow me to bring her with me... also, she always gets really drunk and i can imagine her causing quite a few problems on the holiday. If i was allowed of course i would invite her though, because otherwise thats just mean, but how am i meant to explain to her that all her friends are going on holiday to celebrate the end of exams without her.. and if there was any other way- for example if someone elses parent could accompany us- then i would do that- but noone else is willing! PLEASE HELP!!!

Who's paying? If she pays for herself noone can stop her, she is allowed to travel on her own. I don't think that you can stay in accomodation without an adult though.
A few of us from work went to Spain a few years ago and one of them was only 17......I had to agree to be the responsible adult for her during the holiday.
you can hardly blame your mother for not wanting to be held responsible for a stroppy drunk who isn't related to her. You could try telling her that she misses out because she IS a stroppy drunk - won't go down well but it might just make her look at her own behaviour.
you'll just have to tell her that your mum has the final word as she's taking responsibility for the party.

and good luck to your mother, poor woman!
Stroppy drunk...at 16????
i understand that you are caught in the middle with this one but i do see where your mam is coming from. She is taking alot on by shaperoningyou all to the party island and i know for one that i wouldnt be as brave as her lol. Im sure she is under no illusions that you will all be drinking and having a good time, and so you should but your friend must be pretty bad if she is saying no to her going and putting you under this pressure.
I would be honest with your friend and tell her if it was up to you then you would allow it but as your mam is doing you a favour by going with you all the final word falls with your mam. What exactly is it that your mam doesnt like about her? have you not thought about having a holiday over in this country perhaps as a compromise? ive heard cornwall is a great place for teenagers after exam time. Maybe if it was in this country she would allow your friend to go as if there was any trouble off her then her own parents coulkd easily come and sort her out.
