you can't get money for being sick AND working
Christ! Who employed this clown!
It is definitely possible to have two jobs and receive SSP from one employer whilst working for another. A broken leg would stop me doing a driving job for example but I could still sit at a desk and do clerical work.

The present employer would take a dim view if the questioner's new job were similar to the current one, it was being undertaken during the same working hours as the current one or their contract placed a restriction on the type of other employment allowed without consent being given.
