Hi. I have worked at a Youth Offending Team and I believe your best bet would be to write to your local Youth Offending Team Service, offering your services on a voluntary basis. It would help if you had an enhanced CRB check which covers Young People. As I dont believe they would consider you without one.Once you are working voluntarilly you will get to hear about vacancies in this field, and when you start applying for vacancies you can use experiences in your voluntary work to evidence suitability on the application forms. With your enhanced CRB check you will find that you will be an attractive candidate as you will be able to strart straight away and not have to wait months for the CRB check to come through.
