Hi. I have been offered a job as a home carer. The company has said I will have to pay for my uniform. £15. They want staff to wear a clean uniform every 2 days so would be expected to have at least two. Is it legal for a company to make you pay. Thanks
From the TSSA Union site "Employers may insist on a dress code, and many choose to provide a uniform or a clothing allowance. This is not compulsory for the employer however, and is something you may wish to consider before accepting the job."
