Praise for our unemployment services
7 Answers
I'm 28, been unemployed for 9 weeks now after suffering 5 years of mental bullying within the work place. Being unemployed after working for 13 years is very hard. I want to highly praise all my local services for helping me rebuild my life after a terrible time. Although I am on ESA I am ashamed to say I am 'unemployed' after all you don't exactly wana tell the next boss your previous boss was an as*hole!!!
Anyway, I will no longer moan at the genuine people who are unemployed. I am trying my best to get back into employment but having your personality 'quashed', these 9 weeks are the best as Im away from the hell hole.
I have never felt so overwhelmed by all the support, advice and guidance I have recieved :-)

Yeh I've sampled the taste of treatment they give you. They think everyone the same, people who don't want to work. Fortunately for me as I suffer from a mental health problem there are loads of organisations locally that help me get back into work. I feel overwhelmed at the amount of help available to help me get back into work.
Sorry to hear about your situation but glad you are getting support. Bullying is TOTALLY unacceptable in any way shape or form.Unfortunately there will be more people in a similar situation to you (unemployed) following the recent election result. Believe me there are lots of genuine people out there who are unemployed through no fault of their own - don't ever be ashamed.
People who work in Jobcentres are human beings too and have to work with what they are given, lets not tar all Jobcentre staff with the same brush just like unemployed people should not be tarred with the same brush and just because someone has worked longer than someone else does not make them superior, everyone has their reason for having to claim benefits.
