Unreasonable request from boss

My friend's hubby works as a cleaner in a call centre. His boss has said that she wants each worker to take 2 cloths home each day and wash them in the washing machine for the next day! Surely they can refuse to do this and she has no right to ask this of them?

how hilarious... so cos they dont want to pay to wash their own cloths - they want a dozen staff to wash two cloths every night!!! HOW many washing machines going unecessarily!!

Surely the boss must be winding up these people. This is illegal, unethical and unhygienic.

Hi guys. Spoke to my friend last night and she told me that all the cleaners at her hubby's work refused. When their supervisor told the boss that no-one was going to take cloths home she said, 'oh well, I don't want to argue with anyone, we'll just let it go'. Obviously she knew that she didn't have a leg to stand on!
