A few days ago, the owners of a local fish and chip shops sold the place and moved out without telling its employers. They went in the next day to find they worked for a different family, luckily they were kept one, but where would they stand if the new owners didn't want them? Should they have been given notice?

Yes legally they should have had notice, if they had a contract, but if the owners did a flit they would have trouble following this up. Anyway they all have a job so it's all ok isn't it?
