Can my employer change my shift same day , when i do not agree

I work 7 till 3.30 monday-friday and two days in week stay longer till 9, i have been forced to stay till 9 while i should finish 3.30 .Can they do that without my permission
As you've posted this in two places you may not get a very good response. It's far better to have everything in one thread
Would be unethical to do so but you need to read your Terms and Conditions and see what they are allowed to do. Do you have a union? Consult them if you do
Do you mean just change it on the odd occasion when they are let down by another employee ringing in sick or when they need to cover holidays and have an nexpected busy period or when they have an emergency due to a pending inspection/visit? If you do then yes they can, it;s call asking staff to be flexible and cooperative to support the team and undertand the needs of the business.

i mean the change becouse of personal reasons of supervisor (he wants to swop with me ) , i worked day before from 7 till 9 and startet that day also 7, and i had personal reasons for not swoping shifts due to my janger sister biing sick
dot, what about it the staff member has an hospital appointment or something? Can an empoyer just change their shift? Don`t they have some kind of duty of care to their staff?
If the staff member has a hospital appointment and has pre-arranged to change/alter their own shift then their manager would probably not ask them, but someone will have had toi change their Sugar to cover that person's absence for the appointment and so I see no difference. Everyone has a family life and everyone is entitled to say no, but an employer should be able to expect reliability, flexanolity and committment from the staff, in return staff should work arond their personal circmstances so as not to impact adversly on a business.

So if i say no they have right to dismiss me on that bases?
No absolutely not, why do you think they can dismiss you because you are not available to swap a shift? If at interview you stressed that you were flexible and you usally are then letting them down as aone off should not be a problem, the boss may nor forget it though and may refuse to accomodate a later request from you to change shifts.
Agree with Dot on this - it should be about a bit of give and take on both sides. If it all take by the employer and no give, you should be reminding your supervisor about it.
Declining to undertake a short-notice changed shift is not a reason initself to dismiss someone, but you should be aware that until an employee has racked up 12 months of continuous service, one has very little in the way of employment protection against unfair dismissal.
can I just mention that in my second answer where the swear filter has changed 'shift' to sugar it's because I miskeyed and missed out the 'f' lol
