I am shortly looking to enter the door security industry.
I would be interested in hearing from anyone currently employed as a door supervisor, especially with regards to rates of pay, and the best/worst companies to work for. Also anything I should know would be appreciated.
Thankyou.

Both of these are in the standard training and it costs about 150 to 200. Then, you need to apply for your badge, this will cost you 190 and last for 3 years.
Currently, the rates of pay (in Birmingham at least) are somewhere in the 10 to 15 per hour bracket. This is likely to stay as it is (if not rise a little) in the next 6 months as the licensing really takes hold and all the cheaper companies who can't get licensed go out of business, meaning the industry finally has to pay a fair price for the job they're asking you to do.
I'm a training manager for a company in Birmingham, if you let me know where you are, I'll try to help out with a good trainer in your area and some reputable companies.
Hope this helps. Matt
