if you work in an office environment is there a temperature which by law you are not allowed to work if it goes under this
just curious as where my mum works the section she works in, is the only place where there is no heating and she says its freezing.

There is but I cant remember what it was.The Engineers used to come around to check it daily in the winter when I worked for BT.
I'll see if I can find out.

I have a feeling that a company only has to make provisions which does not always mean heating. For example, they should supply warm clothing, drinks, etc.
the trouble with temperature regulations is that some people feel the cold more than others. I am one of those and 16c is far too cold for me. I'd sit in the office with my coat, scarf and gloves on if there wasn't a heater available. Even then my nose had icicles hanging off it.
it depends on were you work, offices its 16 but in factories etc it is lower but the empoyer has to provide appopriate ppe

i hate extremes of both, but the way i look at it, when i'm inside i can always layer up to get warm, thos of us who ioverheat, can;t very well strip off in the office

i have this debate so often :-(

I work from home. I keep complaining to the FH that it is cold (he's too stingy to put the heating on). He has just gone out. First thing I did was switched it on. lol
