In certain countries it's then really easy to get teaching work. That's what me and my partner did five years ago. We're now living in South Korea after spending time in Eastern Europe. Best decision we ever made!
Good luck!
I'm with Stephie on this one. You could do your cambridge CELTA - most countries die for this - it's about 4 weeks long aswell. It costs about 800 though. Worth it in the long run for sure. It's a qualification that allows you to teach English abroad. Check this link out http://www.cambridgeesol.org/teaching/celta.htm
Scroll to the bottom and check out your nearest centre. If you do it now, you can hopefully start applying in the summer ready for the academic year in September. If you don't like it abroad, this qualification will still come in handy as most further education colleges and private institutions accept it in the UK.
As for both of you getting a job togther, i'm sure that wont be a problem. Alot of middle eastern countries are in need of TESOL tutors anyway. Let us know how you get on, and if you need more info, let me know! All thes best.
Yummy xx
