What is the best value HGV training school in the Midlands area?

I hardly need to tell you all that the VAT will be going up early this month, but not sure how much this will affect us all. As some of you know I am currently out of work, and am considering becoming a lorry driver. For this I will need to do HGV1 course, which will cost over £1,000. Can any of you ABers let me know which one of these offers the best value for money, and also the best first time pass rate?
I have just been called by one of them, and the VAT increase will put these prices up by about £100. Surely this is too much for a mere 2.5% increase?
Many thanks for your hopefully speedy replies.

With regards to the increase in price you have to take into account how much extra petrol is going to be and this will be worked into the increase as well as adding VAT to the actual cost of the course.
