my 18 yr old daughter brought a phone from car phone warehouse on 02 tarrif at begin dec 2010 this is 1st time on contract £25 a month with blackberry 9700 when asked if she wanted insurance she said yes , a week after doing this my husband gets letter from car phone warehouse welcoming and asking if everything was ok , he is with t mobile and has been for 20 yrs, he knew my daughter had gone with 02 so asked her if it was her they should be writing to, she fetched her contract which she hadnt bothered to look at when buying phone and at top it had hubbys name , she had signed it and given proof of id which was her driving license with picture, now bear in mind hubby is called terence she is called terri-marie he is 47 she is 18 and deffo female something somewhere was going on to make things worse on boxing day she lost her fone when she went to car fone warehouse they said she wasnt insured the sales man hadnt clicked yes for the insurance but he had asked her to come bak in for the ins paperwork as they didnt have the correct paper to print it on when she did return for it he gave her another copy of the contract but she hadnt bother to look at it , ( yes i know she need a slap ) so now she has no phone but a £25 month contract to pay , she was told by car fone warehouse to cancel the direct debit and they are looking into it because its a case of fraud as a fone was sold to someone who wasnt in the shop ie my hubby , i cannot understand how this has happened she was stood there in shop quite clearly a female with her id, she hasnt heard anything yet and want to go get new fone on contract but i think she will be made to carry on with the 24 month contract that she took out with phone, but as young ones are she wont listen, any ideas where we stand ??by way the sales assistant seems to not work at that branch no more funny eh ?

red crx the name on contract is is terence paul the bank account details were hers the proof of id was hers and her signiture was tm paul so the assistant really cocked it up, admitidly she should of read it but she 18 and all she was interested in was getting her new fone, she didnt bother to look at any of the paer work until the problems arose , when youre 18 u dont have the sense i guess.she has already stopped the direct debit but i keep telling her to get in touch as we havnt heard anything yet she just doesnt understand how much this will cost her but its like talking ti brick wall these youngsters just dont listen , oh well she will be paying not me
she should have checked the name, though she has obviously signed the contract. I expect that your husbands details came up when they inputted the post code or something, as a previous customer.
the whole insurance issue is something else, can she not buy a phone off of ebay or something and request a new sim card from the provider?
