I know two medical PA's/secs who are men.... Neither of them are as good at it as me... ;0)

Actually I think it's just a traditional thing but I'm starting to see more fellas around doing it these days. I've known some docs who are quite uncomfortable with the idea actually.
I thought they were referred to as PAs now.
Because all the linesman jobs are take?
I prefer women as secretaries; I do not normally find myself attracted to men!
I think it is traditional, a smart women to meet and greet potential clients and show them to the office to meet the boss looks less threatening that a man doing that.
'I thought they were referred to as PAs now.'

^^^ No. There are medical secretaries and medical PA's. The medical secretaries here mainly just type letters. PA's do most of the donkey work.
I like china's definition.
When I was at work we had a team of admin staff who did secretary/receptionist/PA for a team of us. The women were one and all red hot and the only bloke was more trouble than he was worth.
