OK Dotty, and others of us who work for employers who do not give their staff public holidays off will keep telling you that you are wrong.
knock yourself out, I'll pop back when i am on holiday on april 29th (as an extra days paid holiday entitlement)
There's stubborn and there's downright stoopid.
yeah, stupid me works for a company that is giving me the royal wedding day off as an extra paid holiday, what can i tell you?
I'll be thinking on you Dotty when I get the extra day and a half for Maundy Thursday and the Queen's Birthday
never mind, there's always 2012 and the extra day for the golden jubilee
The question asked was "is everyone entitled to the royal wedding bank holiday".

The answer seems to be "no- some are and some aren't; it depends"
some are entitled to take the day off as paid holiday and others who have to work it are entitled to an extra days holiday in lieu at another time that suits them and their employer, other people seem to work for strange employers
No Dot...more likely you work for a large firm that can afford it.
Well we can't all be captains of the retail shoe industry. I'm personally moving all my stocks and bonds out of shoes until the markets have recovers from your absence. Does the city know of your absence?
