Executrix and beneficiary are definitely OK, not so sure about witness and beneficiary, though.
'Frowned on' at the very least to be both witness and beneficiary.
I'm sure better qualified people than I am will answer you correctly.

A ‘holograph’ Will – that is written and signed and dated in the person’s own handwriting
– is valid in Scotland even if it has not been witnessed
Thanks m'lady - you're very considerate - that's been a great help - strangely enough what put all this into my mind was an advert I saw saying that for a small donation Amnesty International would draw up a will for anyone. Thanks again - HW
I don't know if it's any help to you Harry - but as far as witnesses go, I think anyone who is not in the will can sign (ie it doesn't have to be anyone official). I was an office junior in a lawyer's office years ago (in Scotland), and I signed as witness to loads of wills.
